Helen Noakes - wig dresser turned body worker and yoga teacher!
I first qualified as a swedish massage bodyworker in 1995 and
then after 2 years of travelling adventures all over the world
i decided to embark on the first of many trips to India.
My mission was to dip into a spiritual adventure and train in
Chavutti Thirumal
/ Indian rope massage
. I returned to the UK and began to grow my own business in Brighton.
My inspiration began to deepen as I became involved with natural
bodies yoga centre , training with Gary Carter for two years in
the spirit of Vanda Scaravelli.
I became more influenced by structural integration, Gabriel Roth's
Five Rhythms dance technique and more unusual forms of body work
so I trained with Jing Massage
in holistical medical massage and hot
stone fusion.
My belief is that any form of massage that we are drawn to needs
to be incorporated into our daily lives as part of enjoying a
balanced lifestyle. Using the quality and gifts of the breath,
yoga postures and receiving massage we as individuals can take
responsibility for our own healing and well being .
I host workshops, private classes and teach on retreats and run
massage courses in venues such as India, Morocco, Tanzania, Israel
and Europe.
