I AM THE PROCESS
a deep somatic dive into our natural self

with Helen Noakes and Susana Walter
8th - 15th May 2027 - Southern Greece

We are the process -  life wants to fizz and bubble inside us.

Our being yearns to blossom at all times. We need a fundamental practice in withholding our old structures, plans and wishes to give us space for change and movement. We can enjoy being a beginner in every moment, fully experiencing the present. We will focus on exploring our possibilities and align with the courage to step into the unknown.

This seminar is an invitation to move beyond our mental and physical limitations. So how can we evolve from restrictions and tension in our physical and energetic body? We will be learning tools from a wide variety of origins:

  • to root ourselves;

  • to regulate our nervous system;

  • to create spaciousness for silence and deep listening;

  • to be moved by guided sequences to encourage mobility, freedom and strength.

With a lot of love and grace, we can learn to listen closely to our inner whisper, our body language and follow our own subtle impulses guiding the way towards more joy and humour, more inner confidence and peace, using an intentional focus alongside healthy breathing and bodywork.

The techniques we will be offering:

  • Watsu wild water sessions in the Aegean Sea.

  • Pendulation inspired by Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing.

  • Physical exercises to enhance your energy levels, such as Isometrics.

  • Reflecting questions through journaling and sharing our insights

  • Yoga practice inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

  • Vagus nerve Exercises by Stanley Rosenberg

  • TRE – Trauma Release Exercises

  • A guided Breathing Meditation alongside the Buteyko method

This can be a wonderful step towards more liberty, releasing repetitive patterns trapped in our reactions within our bodymind.  Unblocking is a transformative tool, doing less, instead of adding more. AND - the understanding of neurophysiological pathways is a key to our potential .

Are you ready?

We are happy to welcome you in 2027.

Helen Noakes

My first taste of yoga was in 1993 in Melbourne, Australia where I was introduced to the teachings of Iyengar.

My whole being was catapulted into a new world when I had the good fortune to train with Gary Carter in 2002. Discovering Yoga in the spirit of Vanda Scaravelli offered me firm grounding and gave me the courage to guide others. This changed everything along with the experience of live dissection with Julian Baker and Gary at Functional Anatomy.

I have also been privileged to study with my teacher and mentor Elizabeth Pauntz, and attended seminars with great souls such as Sandra Sabatini, Diane Long, John Stirk, Monica Voss, Sophie Hoare, Joanne Avison and for the past few years have enjoyed retreats with Angela Farmer and Victor. Malcom Manning and his teachings in Feldenkrais have also given me huge inspiration.

This has helped me get closer to the direct teaching of Vanda Scaravelli and guided me into the magic of my own physiology. I am also directly inspired by Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms dance, Jo Cobbett, and Elena Tonetti’s Birth Into Being.
